Project Overview:
Wonderball is an annual fundraising gala hosted by the Columbus Museum of Art in an effort to support their Center for Creativity. During my time at Fulcrum Creatives, I had the pleasure of helping create the initial branding, theme, creative design, and marketing strategy for the museum’s very first Wonderball fundraising gala in 2015. Over the next four years, I maintained a role with the marketing subcommittee, and even served as the leader of the committee in 2017.
What we created:
The iconic black and white W logo and Wonderball identity
Digital materials: Motion graphics, website landing page design, and digital ads
Print materials: Save the date cards, exclusive sponsorship tickets, silkscreen posters, and a billboard
Brand messaging and voice
Marketing and promotional strategy for social media, advertising, PR and blogger outreach
Other: Wonderball tee shirts and buttons
Impact:
Within the first two years, our efforts have doubled the event's attendance and the museum's fundraising goals. Further, both attendance and funds raised has continued to grow each year, raising a total of $150,000 under my leadership in 2017, and continues to grow year after year. With the funds raised, the museum has been able to completely remodel the Center for Creativity with a brand new theme for the space. Additionally, brand recognition has grown so strongly that it has become the museum’s most popular event of the year!
