Project Overview:
Cause Collaborative is an annual nonprofit conference established by Fulcrum Creatives in collaboration with partner, Community Shares of Mid-Ohio, as a way to give resources back to the community–especially to small to mid sized nonprofits struggling to attain professional development services. The goal has always been to connect nonprofit and social entrepreneur professionals with industry experts for a day of interactive discussion, advice and networking opportunities. I had the pleasure of growing what started as a small, grassroots panel discussion event into a full-day professional development and networking conference composed of multiple keynote speakers, breakout sessions, panel groups, and a networking after-party complete with a raffle from our sponsors.
How I Helped:
Sourced all event speakers
Directly identified and sourced sponsorship from 20 organizations across three tiers, created sponsorship pitch decks and benefits packages
Established ticket pricing (regular and early bird specials) in addition to managing overall ticket sales
Led the creative team to design print and digital marketing materials, a website and Facebook group
Recruited and managed a marketing subcommittee of volunteers to plan and promote the event – several of which were simultaneously serving with us on the Wonderball committee!
Created and implemented the marketing strategy to promote the event
Created, distributed, and evaluated pre and post-event surveys to learn more about our audience needs
Sourced the event location, managed the setup, decor, speaker and sponsor gifts, thank you raffle and swag bags, food and drinks, parking, and all other logistics for the day of
Impact:
Cause Collaborative has consistently grown in attendees, sponsors, and the assortment of sessions offered. In 2017 the event narrowed its focus of catering to nonprofits, to specifically cater to arts and culture nonprofits/organizations. The response to this resulted in the most successful event to date with almost 100 attendees, 24 sponsors, 3 keynote speakers, a plenary workshop, and 3 breakout sessions to choose from. Most importantly, it helped to strengthen and unite the arts community within central Ohio.
